Vulcan VIP Visits are an amazing opportunity to see XL426 in her hangar at London Southend Airport away from the crowds and are ideal for enthusiasts and photographers.
You will be given a guided tour of XL426 by an experienced guide before climbing the crew ladder to go into the Vulcan’s cockpit and the exclusive opportunity to sit in either the pilot's or co-pilot's seat and one of the rear crew seats.
On the day of your visit, XL426 will be in the middle of her winter servicing programme, giving you an in-depth view of the work involved maintaining this British and Cold War aviation icon.
The hangar tour includes an exclusive behind-the-scenes chance to see the Trust's workshops and engineering activities not normally seen by the public.
Arrival is from 9.00 am for a prompt start at 9.30 am. Each Vulcan VIP Visit lasts approximately four hours and must be booked in advance. All VIP Visitors must be aged 12 or over (under-16s must be accompanied by a paying adult visitor).
The maximum number of visitors on Vulcan VIP Visits is limited to just 10.
Each visit costs £70.00 per person (plus booking fee) and includes a welcome presentation with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits.
VIP Visitors are welcome to take photographs during their visit (with the exception of the presentation at the beginning and certain locations inside the hangars) but please be aware that any images taken are for personal use only and must not be used in any published articles, commercial or otherwise, without the Trust's permission. Also, no filming or audio recording must be made during Vulcan VIP Visits.
