FOLLOWING THE PRIME MINISTER'S ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING CORONAVIRUS RESTRICTIONS MADE ON 14 JUNE, WE CONFIRM THIS EVENT IS STILL GOING AHEAD
Vulcan XL426 will once again be blasting down London Southend Airport's runway at our first taxi-run event of the year on Saturday 26 June 2021.
Viewing will be from the the Trust's exclusive visitor area in front of its hangar. This will give an uninterrupted view across the airport and unrivaled photographic opportunities. After speeding down the runway, XL426 will taxi back to the apron area, giving a superb close-up view as XL426 taxies in and shuts down her engines.
The event will be in two sessions with one one taxi-run in the morning and a second in the afternoon. Tickets are now on sale for both sessions.
Attendance is limited and admission is by advance ticket only. Prices are as follows:
Public Adult: £50.00
VRT Member Adult: £25.00
VRT Individual Members may purchase a single ticket at the discounted rate and Family Members may purchase two. There is no limit on the number of Public or Under-16 tickets VRT Members can buy for their guests.
Why not join the VRT now and take advantage of the discounted Member price?
Due to London Southend Airport rules, children under 12 cannot be admitted to the event.
Morning ticket holders will need to arrive by 10:15 am and Afternoon ticket holders by 1:45 pm. Full details of the timings for each session will be sent to ticket purchasers 14 days before the event.
Teas, coffees and refreshments will be on sale throughout the day. Our Vulcan souvenir stall will be open for anyone wishing to take home a memento of the day.
Should it be necessary to cancel the event for any reason, we will provide full refunds on all ticket purchases. We won’t, though, be able to compensate for other costs you or your guests might incur attending the event, such as travelling or hotel costs.
Sorry - no animals allowed except assistance dogs.
